for the past few years, i've been dealing with anxiety. now that i know its symptoms and treatments, i've reflected on my life and realized that i think i've had it for ages. regardless, being older and i wish wiser, i can deal with it a little better.
i will say, though, packing up and moving my entire life has caused my sleepless hours to be great and my winks few. i'm up just thinking about whatever. playing angry birds on my phone or browsing craigslist for things i don't want to buy, or reading the news (which i don't recommend, DEPRESSING).

i've found that writing is my one and only help. and after more reflection, that's what has always helped me. so now i turn to blogging. but don't worry, few readers, i won't riddle you with my inflicted mind. again i must remind myself that this exists merely to track my blessings because i am blessed daily. are you?
today i was reminded more than ever how important friends are. ever since i spread the word that i'm moving have i really found out how many people care about me. it's surprising, and i find comfort in knowing that when i'm 'cross the pond, i'll have well-wishes and good tidings floating my way. i emailed all of the DDD alumnae and let them know that i won't be able to volunteer for anything this year. i got several emails back telling me that they are so excited for me and can't wait to hear of my adventures. again, i'm inspired.
also - my friend LJ wrote today on her blog about her trip to spain. she lived there for 10 months last year and just returned. she spoke of the hard times and challenges. but she also talked about the good things. i was encouraged, once again.
so today, i'm thankful for folks who encourage when you least likely expect them to, or inspire when that was not their purpose. hopefully that will be what gets me through at least tonight :)
