fucking perfect

well that's the song title - and the song is in my head (which is how i pick blog titles, if you've ever wondered).

a side note about myself....ever since i can remember, i've been fascinated with learning song lyrics and seeing if i can memorize them. i recall some gulf war tribute song from like the 1st grade was the first song i learned all the lyrics to - well, maybe save aladdin and the lion king songs. anyway, i used to keep a journal where i'd only write out song lyrics after i'd printed them from the internet. i guess the concept of them always being accessible on the net was a foreign concept in the 9th grade.... but words in general mean so much to me. they speak to me more than sometimes the spoken word does because i think they bear the true soul....

but i digress.

i've been following this blog on tumblr (thanks LJ!!) and it has just great photos. i'll put some here now. (googoogoojoob.tumblr.com)

like words, these photos speak to me and can say so much. i have shared the link with you (see right or above) so you can follow if you'd like too.

it is so true that closeness has NOTHING to do with distance. be it a near or far distance. nothing. i can only hope that some long distances in physical closeness can shorten but am also hopeful for those that are about to lengthen.

as my move grows closer, i continually reflect and sometimes i think emotions cross my mind more than actual thoughts. i go through bouts of wanting to just burst into tears or times when i'm so excited i can hardly stand it. and then songs will make me cry (nothing new here) or little children will make me smile again (which is good, i'm going to be a nanny) so i can't really wrap my head around anything. you'd think i was pregnant if you didn't know me, the way i'm describing myself.

i don't know entirely the point of this post, but the fact that these photos and sometimes words are so fucking perfect. pink sang to me today. i've always thought she was great - ever since 'you make me sick' from the 'save the last dance' soundtrack. she's so relevant.

and so, goodnight.
